Trophy smallmouth time!

Its been awhile since I posted last. I have had a terrible winter. Found out my mom has cancer at Christmas. Its been a rough few months. If anyone reading this is over the age of 40 and has never had a colonoscopy, I suggest getting one done. Colon cancer is one of the few that can be cured. Unfortunately, my mom never had one done. She is getting chemo treatment and we are hoping for the best.
I was able to get out a few times for steelhead, and did ok, dirty water or bad weather always seemed to get in my way however when guiding, but spring for me is trophy smallmouth time. This year the bite is early due to the early exit of ice on Erie. There are some really big fish setting up already falling to tubes and jerkbaits. Looking forward to the many charters I have booked this spring. Hopefully this year I will be able to break 7lbs. I will post another report in a week or so hopefully with some pics of slob smallmouth.
