Spring fishing is HOT!

We have had tolerable weather the last couple of weeks but by no means the normal for this time of year.  Despite that, the steelhead fishing has been amazing.  Lots of fish spread out throughout the whole river from shallow to deep.  One good thing about this time of the year, you can pick up fish on any drift.  Alot of bonus walleye being caught as well to keep things interesting.  The steelhead are starting to spawn even though the water temperatures are only 32 degrees.
I made it to the Niagara bar a couple of times however unfavorable winds have been keeping me away for the most part.  The Lakers can be had there along with browns on plastics, jigging spoons and live minnows.

March trout fishing going well

I am really starting to hate winter.  The older I get the more I despise it. The winter was long and cold, too extreme for me to venture out.
I finally got out this week since last December.  Fishing is good, not as good as fall but good for this time of the year. Water temps are low 30's.  Trout seem to be on all the slow drifts.
It felt like forever since I was in a boat. That may have been the longest since I have been guiding.
Here are a few shots of some great fish caught by my buddies and I while i get a feel for what's going on and preparing for my trips coming up.
